Euro 2016 Semi-Finals Betting Lines Comparison

Despite having not won a Euro 2016 game within 90-minutes, Portugal find themselves one game away from reaching the tournament’s final, and go into the clash with Wales at +120 favorites.
This is the fifth time Portugal have reached the semis of a European Championships, losing four of those and then progressing to the final of Euro 2004 where they were the runners-up.
Portugal have been far from impressive during this campaign, but have managed to grind out results and do enough to progress through the rounds. They could be without Pepe in the heart of defense after he sustained a slight injury in the 1-1 draw with Poland, while William Carvalho is out suspended.
All eyes are on Cristiano Ronaldo in this game because despite having scored twice, he has hardly lit up the pitch with performances he’s capable of. This is likely to be Ronaldo’s last European Championships – he’ll be 35 at Euro 2020 – so expect him to attempt to go out with a bang.
Ronaldo is the +333 favorite to open the scoring and +120 to score at any time. These seem like great bets to me, all things considered.
This may be Wales’ first European Championships but you would never know as they have sailed through to the semi-finals stages, looking like a solid team as they have done so.
Much is said about their star player Gareth Bale – he has three goals at Euro 2016 – but the rest of the squad has more than pulled its weight, and Chris Coleman can be proud of his players regardless of the outcome of this match with Portugal.
Wales are +300 to win during 90-minutes and I think that is exceptional value, especially considering how Portugal have been playing during this tournament. The Welsh are also +162 to go through including extra time and penalties, but I have a feeling if it gets to that stage then Portugal will have an edge and progress themselves.
The losses of Ben Davies and Aaron Ramsey to suspension will hurt Wales, yet this is the team’s biggest game of their career’s so expect them to pull out all of the stops to progress to the final.
If you fancy Bale to open the scoring you will find odds of +450 with +190 the going price for the Real Madrid man to score at any time. Another goalscorer bet to look for is Ashley Williams at +1100 to score at any time.
The centreback is a threat at set pieces, and many see these being Wales’ best chance of scoring against the resolute Portuguese. It’s a longshot, but worth a couple of dollars of anyone’s money.
I honestly believe Wales can win this game if they go ahead, but if they concede early then it could be too much of a mountain to climb.
