Heat Seeking First Road Win Against Clippers in Six Years
Will the Heat win in L.A. anytime soon?
Miami is a good road team this year, posting a 14-9 record leading up to tonight’s game. But, things can change quickly when the Heat see their opponent at mid-court tonight. For some reason, when the Heat take on the Clippers at the Staples Center, they have had trouble winning games. The last time Miami knocked off the Clippers in L.A. was on December 9, 2007. A win tonight would not only help their confidence, but also get a six-game road trip off to a good start.
Clippers enjoy hosting the Heat each season
Los Angeles has no problem beating the Heat at home and they hope this trend continues on Wednesday night when Miami comes to town. The Clippers are one of the league’s best home teams, sporting a 20-3 record. They have not played particularly well in their past 10 games overall, recording a 6-4 mark. L.A. will look to rebound from a tough loss at the buzzer to the Denver Nuggets when they take the court tonight.
These two teams last met in the beginning of November in Florida. The Clippers were able to keep LeBron James in check, but Dwayne Wade scored 11 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter of a Heat win. At Sportsbook.com, the Heat are underdogs by 1.5 points, which is why we will back them with the OVER 208 total points scored at -110 late tonight.
