Jones vs Cormier 2 is one of the most anticipated fights in UFC history and it is almost upon us. The two have been at the top of the light heavyweight division for a number of years and Cormier finally gets his chance at some revenge.

Cormier vs Jones 2 Betting Online

Cormier comes into the fight with almost a year off after suffering an injury, his only loss to date at the hands of Jones and he will be looking to rectify that in their upcoming matchup. In their first fight, Jones looked in complete control throughout. Cormier did not help himself the first time around, playing into Jones’ hands by trading shots with him. To have success this time around, he will need to take advantage of his elite wrestling and try and frustrate Jones on the ground.

This, since returning to UFC, is a real test for Jones. He was in action in April against Ovince St. Preux and scored a unanimous decision, but did not look like the Jon Jones of old. He won the fight comfortably, but many expected him to run through OSP in a few rounds. In his defence, Jones had been out for well over a year and perhaps showed a little ring rust.

With all the hype surrounding fight we can expect him to be a lot sharper and ready to go, whether or not he will be at the same level as he was a couple of years ago remains to be seen.

This is a tight fight on paper and DC performed a lot better than many expected in their first match up, but there are a few things that are in Jones’ favour. First off is the age gap. At 37, DC is getting to the point where we see some fighters show a serious decline, whereas Jones, 28, is in his physical prime.

We have not seen any signs of DC slowing down yet, but it will happen at some stage soon. Up next is the size difference. Jones is a beast of a man and stands five inches taller than DC and has a foot reach advantage.

We have seen time and time again how important height and reach advantages have proven to be. DC has been out injured and has not been in action since his victory over Alexander Gustaffson back in October 2015, whereas Jones has been a little more active of late.

These are not huge details, but in a tight match up they could prove to be the difference.

Pick: Jon Jones @ -300

UFC 200 Fight Card

Brock Lesnar vs Mark Hunt – Lesnar @ +140

Mark Hunt is a knockout machine will put Lenar to sleep if he connects, but Brock is almost inhuman, his athleticism is second to none and if he keeps the tempo up he could overwhelm hunt and take it to the ground, where I can only see a ground and pound victory from the WWE superstar.

Miesha Tate vs Amanda Nunes – Tate @ -250

Tate has been there and done it many times, is much more experienced and well rounded than Nunes. This skill set will be apparent if the fight goes to the ground or Tate can engage in the clinch. If this happens, there is only one winner.

Pick: Tate

Jose Aldo vs Frankie Edgar

A If Aldo can get past his loss to Connor McGregor, this should be a very exciting fight. Edgar should outwork the Brazilian and wear him down, eventually securing a narrow victory.

Pick: Edgar @ -125

Cain Velasquez vs Travis Browne

Velasquez has too much for Browne in every area here and Cain should comfortably dispatch him inside the distance.

Pick:  Velasquez @ -305
