Let’s take a closer look at some prop bets that may pay off in the end.
The Sens struck first in the series to show the defending champions this will not be a quick series. So how many games will be needed to determine a winner?
A series decided in five games will pay +300 odds regardless the winner. A more likely scenario is BetOnline’s odds if the series goes six games. Everyone wouldn’t mind the Penguins and Senators go the distance and a Game 7 is paying +175 on BetOnline. A seventh and deciding game would be played at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, where the Penguins have excelled throughout the post-season. BetOnline is offering +300 odds if Pittsburgh takes down the Sens in seven. The same bet on Bovada is offering bettors +375 odds.
For individual player props, Bovada set a total points projection of 7 for Evgeni Malkin that offered a -175 line regardless if the Pens star forward scores more or less that mark.
While the East final may have some enticing prop bets, but there’s no shortage of options in the Western Conference Final.
Bovada is offering an over/under total points wager on Ryan Getzlaf with the line set at 6 for the series. The Anaheim Ducks captain is having a Conn Smythe-worthy playoff, often times carrying the club on his back to win games. However a safer bet at this point may be Bovada’s -115 line Corey Perry will score more than 4.5 points against the Nashville Predators in the Western Conference Final.
After splitting the opening two games in this series, the chances it’ll go seven games seems more likely with every passing moment. Bovada’s +475 line the game will in fact go to a Game 7 is one bettors should be jumping at if the opportunity presents itself.
If you’re leaning toward the Predators winning this series, putting your money on Filip Forsberg isn’t such a bad idea. Bovada set a projected point total of 4 in the Western Conference Final, with a payout of -115.More articles...
